Mistaken identity: Law enforcement officer allegedly shoots civilian dead

KARACHI: A man was killed in Karachi on Thursday after a law enforcement agency officer allegedly shot him assuming he was a robber, Express News reported. The man was reportedly having a heated argument with his wife in the street which later turned physical. The security officer – thinking the man was trying to rob the woman – fired at him. The incident took place near the Nagan Chowrangi area of the city. The man was taken to a hospital for medical assistance but succumbed to his injuries. DIG West Javed Odho said the matter will be investigated according to the law.
