Withdraw military takeover statement, Munawar tells Altaf

LAHORE: Jamat e Islami (JI) Chief Munawar Hassan has demanded of the supremo of Mutthaida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain to withdraw his statement regarding military takeover. Talking to media here Thursday, Munawar Hassan said that no one openly invited the military to take over the country as Altaf Hussain has just asked. He regretted over the statement of MQM chief saying that democratic norms should be given a chance to move forward. Hassan said that army is a responsible institution which he said would not pay heed to Altaf Hussain’s statement.
