Hundreds of detention facilities in KP, Balochistan: TTP

PESHAWAR: The proscribed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Monday brushed aside the clarification of Defence Minister Khwaja Asif regarding the secret detention facilities and claimed existence of hundreds of such centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The TTP spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid maintained the Defence Minister Khwaja Asif was not even aware of the exact number and location of these secret detention centres in the country. “Presence of hundreds of these secret detention centres across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan is a reality from which no can escape,” he said. Shahidullah Shahid further said that he wondered as to which forces were making Khwaja Asif put the dialogue process in jeopardy. “It seems there is confusion in the government camp,” he added.
