Ehsaan Jafri's widow Zakia Jafri moves Gujarat HC to appeal against Narendra Modi’s clean chit

Ahmedabad: Zakia Jafri, widow of Ehsaan Jafri, has moved to the Gujarat High Court to appeal against the Metropolitan Court's decision on upholding Special Investigation Team’s report, which gave clean chit to Bjp’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Gulberg Society massacre during 2002 Gujarat riots case. Jafri’s husband was burnt alive during the 2002 Gujarat riots and the SIT was appointed by the Supreme Court to investigate the matter. The closure report of SIT gave clean chit to Modi which was later accepted by Metropolitan Court as it rejected Zakia Jafri's petition. All the allegations made by Jafri earlier have been probed by the SIT and it concluded that there was no prosecutable evidence against Mr Modi in the case. Modi had been proudly talking about the clean chit so far and now it has been opposed in strict words by Zakia Jafri, Modi would like to avoid to talk about the 2002 riots phase from now on.
