3.35m broadband users

ISLAMABAD: The number of broadband users in the country has reached 3.35 million, an increase of around 10 per cent from the previously reported figure of 3.02m. According to latest figures issued by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, PTCL is still leading the market as it added 317,481 subscribers in the last three months. Main contributors remained the EvDO technology, which acquired 256,543 new subscribers — or 80pc of new broadband customers. Published in Dawn, May 22nd, 2014
