Karachi ‘gangster’ held in Lahore

LAHORE, Sept 24: Officials of an intelligence agency reportedly picked up a wanted man, who belonged to Karachi, from the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday night. Sources said Shahzad Komrade was trying to travel by air when he was detained at the airport. Shahzad, who is associated with Baba Ladla group, is wanted by Karachi police in 216 cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion and other serious offences. A Lahore police official, however, expressed ignorance about the arrest, saying a team from Karachi might have reached the airport on its own and taken a suspect into custody.
