‘Operation only option if talks with Taliban fail’

The News 16 September 2013 ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali said that there would be no other option except an operation if the talks with the Taliban failed. In a statement he said that if government and Taliban wanted to enter into a real agreement then the US could do nothing in this regard.He termed the demand of Hazara province a conspiracy to divide Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He expressed deep grief and offered condolence with the bereaved family of the martyred army officers of Upper Dir.He said that the MQM had supported the Karachi operation but when its people were arrested it started raising a hue and cry.Asfandyar Wali said that the offering of resignation of Sindh governor was not a new thing as the governor had already offered his resignation and then taken it back.
