PM to address nation today

The News 21 Sept 2013 ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address the nation today (Saturday) and it is understood that he will unveil the programme of his government with regard to the youth envisaged in the election manifesto of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The address would be aired in the evening. Mohayuddin Wani, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, told this scribe on Friday the address would cover new initiatives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is pinning great hopes on the youth that has always lived up to the expectations of the nation. Some new schemes including provision of laptops to the educated youngsters, employment opportunities for youth and soft loans for venturing business and announcement of some scholarships for bright youngsters would also be a part of the speech of the prime minister. The schemes slated to be announced would be covering the whole country while the backward areas will get special treatment. The address would be titled as new hopes for the nation and youth alike, the sources said. The federal government has worked out the programme for the youth that is being launched for the first time in the history of the country and it will have impact of billions of rupees. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has significantly contributed in outlining the programme. The programme would prove as a fortune changer in the long run, the sources said.
