Interior minister orders to cancel 2,000 passports

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar Ali Khan has directed authorities concerned to take action against unscrupulous elements in the Islamabad Police, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Revenue Department. The minister, who chaired a high level meeting at the Interior Ministry on Saturday, also ordered to cancel 2,000 passports issued against rules and regulations. The minister said that action be taken after identifying corrupt elements in the FIA, police and other departments. Nisar told the local administration to remove corrupt officials from the Revenue Department. He directed the FIA to expedite action against those involved in human trafficking.
