Malala meets US President Obama

WASHINGTON: Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot in the head by the Taliban for campaigning education for girls, called on US President Barack Obama, Geo News reported. In the meeting, Malala expressed reservations over drone strikes in Pakistan, saying that innocent lives were being lost in such attacks. She said unmanned aircraft attacks were creating distance between the two countries besides rising anti-US sentiments in Pakistan. Malala hailed educational and development projects of USAID in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Swat. Michelle Obama and Ziauddin Yousafzai, the father of Malala were present during the meeting.
