Nadra completes another international task

Islamabad: The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) has completed another international task — the National Identity Card Programme for Nigeria — and handed the database registration system over to the Nigerian government, a Nadra spokesperson said. Consequently, Nigeria has started registration of citizens after the formal inauguration and issuance of National Identity to the President of Nigeria on Thursday. The National Identity Card Programme was formally inaugurated at a formal event held at the Nigerian Presidency in Abuja in which His Excellency Goodluck Jonathan, the first lady, vice president and other dignitaries were enrolled for the National Identity using the backend system powered by Nadra, said a Nadra spokesperson.
