Seven die as mini-truck careens off Lyari Expressway

KARACHI: A mini-truck travelling on Lyari Expressway carrying mostly women and children, breached the safety barrier and fell into the Lyari river on Wednesday, Express News reported. The vehicle was between Garden and Lyari areas of Karachi when the accident took place. Seven occupants of the van, including four children died, on the spot. Several others were injured as a result of the crash. The injured and the deceased were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
