WARNING: Pak terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar planning suicide attacks during upcoming LS polls

New Delhi: Maulana Masood Azhar is back in the news and waiting to create disturbance in India. The Pakistani Islamic hardliner is accused of 2001 attack on Indian Parliament. His outlawed group Jaish-e-Mohammad is planning suicide attacks and intelligence agencies have issued airport security alerts twice, since the end of December. This group could hijack a plane with smaller airfield being most at risk, maintain intelligence agencies. Masood Azhar is planning to carry out suicide attacks during 2014 Lok Sabha Polls. This would give Pakistan an opportunity to again raise Kashmir issue and get publicity at international forums, believe experts. Further, as US forces withdraw from Afghanistan this year, Pakistan is making all out effort to win over the radicals who oppose the establishment. According to experts, Pakistan is offering help to terrorists like Masood and bargaining with radicals. For years, Masood ramained confined to his hideout at Bhawalpur in Pakistan's Punjab province. But recently he has become very active and resumed jihad against India. Recently, he addressed his supporters and spelled out his nefarious intensions against India. "There are 313 fidayeen (fighters who are ready to die) in this gathering and if a call is given the number will go up to 3,000," he told the rally held in the city of Muzaffarabad by telephone. A Reuters journalist who was present said a telephone was held next to a microphone which broadcast his comments to loudspeakers.
