5 precautions which can save you from Malaria

Malaria is a disease which is spread by mosquitoes. Unless diagnosed and treated it can turn fatal. The malaria parasite is spread by female Anopheles mosquitoes, which are night-biting mosquitoes. Stay safe by knowing which mosquitoes can cause the deadly disease. After all, prevention is better than cure.
Only female mosquitoes suck blood to feed eggs.
Female mosquitoes live twice more than males. Male mosquitoes live for a maximum of 2 weeks. Females live for more than a month.
There are more than 3,000 species of mosquitoes in the world.
Mosquitoes aim by smell. They are attracted by smell of sweat and carbon dioxide.
Mosquitoes grow very fast. It takes a mosquito four days to grow from an egg to a grown up individual.
