Asaram supporters threaten school principal to declare rape victim as ADULT, offer Rs. 50 lakh as BRIBE

Jaipur: Asaram supporters seem to be trying everything wrong to turn the tide in favour of rape accused Asaram Bapu. He has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor but now his supporters are trying to manipulate documents to prove that the victim was not a minor at the time of alleged sexual assault. The girl had studies at Saraswati Bal Mandir in Shajahanpur till first standard. Police is trying to procure documents from the school to ascertain her age. But, despite many visits to the school, police officers have failed to get hold of the school documents. Now, the principal of the school has alleged that Asaram's supporters are putting constant pressure on him to manipulate documents in favour of Asaram. First Rs. 50 lakh were offered as bribe, but when the principal refused to buckle in, Asaram's supporters started sending him threatening mails. They even sent a live cartridge in a parcel and at this stage the principal decided to register a case with the police.
Asaram supporters claim that the girl is an adult now, if one goes by her age when she took admission in second standard. For the last one month, Jodhpur police officers have been trying to secure documents from Saraswati Bal Mandir primary school, but their efforts have yielded no results.
Victim's 10th class certificates, ration-card, 5th and 8th class certificates, all prove that the girl was a minor when the alleged crime was committed on her. Now, police is trying to ascertain victim’s exact age when she took admission in the second class.
