Dasti claims to recover bag full of liquor bottles from parliament lodges

ISLAMABAD: Independent Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti has claimed to recover a bag filled with empty liquor bottles from the parliament lodges. The MNA made this claim when he appeared on Geo News programme ‘Jirga’ with the bag. Dasti caused shockwaves in the National Assembly on Thursday when he alleged that ‘inappropriate behaviour’ was taking place at the parliament lodges. Dasti speaking on the National Assembly floor said millions worth of liquor would be sent to the parliament lodges on an annual basis and corridors reeked of hash. He further claimed that women are also being brought into the parliament lodges. On Friday, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq directed Jamshed Dasti to provide evidence supporting his claims that the parliament lodges have become the centre of immoral activities. In a letter, the speaker directed Dasti to submit relevant video and other proof supporting his proof till Monday. The speaker also directed the security in-charge of parliament lodges to keep the record of CCTV footage safe. Meanwhile following Dasti’s allegations the director of parliament lodges has been dismissed.
