Delhi shamed again: Couple from northeast thrashed by landlord’s goons in Munirka

New Delhi: The Capital was on Wednesday shamed again with yet another attack on a couple from northeast. According to reports, a couple living at a rented accommodation in south Delhi’s Munirka were brutally thrashed last night allegedly by goons hired by their landlord. A tiff broke out over opening the entrance door of the house between the victims and their landlord, which turned ugly. The landlord had a heated altercation with them and after that he allegedly called up at least nine people who beat the couple up. Sevensistersproject.org reports: Landlord had locked the main gate of the building and the victim’s wife had to meet her mom who has just reached Delhi from home. The victim’s wife asked for the keys, but was refused. This resulted in a verbal altercation between the two and the landlord called eight to nine young men from the building and the couple were brutally beaten them up. Recent reports suggest that Delhi Police has arrested seven people in connection with the case. They are interrogating the landlord as well.
