IMF likely to approve third tranche of $550m for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: International Monetary Fund (IMF) is likely to approve third tranche of $550 million for Pakistan in its executive board meeting scheduled to be held on March 24. According to IMF official, the executive board would examine the economic performance of the country from October to December 2013. After the examination, the IMF executive board may approve third tranche of loan to Pakistan.
