Justice Arab to remain part of Special Court in Musharraf case

ISLAMABAD: The special court in its order on Thursday stated that Justice Faisal Arab had not recused himself from hearing of the treason case against former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. According to the order, Justice Arab had not disassociated himself from the treason case but rather had just walked out from Thursday's proceedings.

During proceedings of the case, Musharraf's counsel Anwar Mansoor said the court had accepted that his client was facing security risks. The court also granted exemption to his client from appearance, he added. Mansoor continuing his arguments further said that the court issued non-bailable warrant for Musharraf, adding that act of issuing the warrant is not a joke. He said that he is not satisfied with the way the case is being processed. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till March 31.
