Nato supplies restore through Torkham

PESHAWAR: Nato supplies to Afghanistan through Torkham has been restored as containers were seen arriving at the border after Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) announced ending its three months long sit-in blocking the supply, Geo News reported. Sources said that five containers carrying supplies for the Nato forces have arrived from Karachi at the Torkham border after three months of suspension. Customs officials said that all the five containers after customs clearance have already entered into Afghanistan territory. Nato supply was blocked through Torkham since November 23, 2013 PTI sit-in protest against the US drone strikes in tribal areas of Pakistan. PTI had announced wrapping up its sit-in two days ago.
