SC displeased over non-appointment of IGP Sindh

KARACHI: Supreme Court has directed Secretary Establishment to appoint Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh at the earliest and present the report in the court, Geo News reported. Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani was hearing Karachi law and order implementation case here at SC Karachi registry on Thursday. The Chief Justice expressed displeasure over the non-appointment of IGP, saying it showed the non-seriousness of the authorities concerned that still acting police head was serving at the key post in the province despite deteriorating law and order situation. Chief Justice directed the attorney general to ask secretary establishment for immediate appointment of IGP Sindh.
