After addressing the rape epidemic in India, Aamir Khan revealed the plight of the police in the second episode which unearthed many hidden causes behind the growing un-sensitiveness of the police. Aamir dived deep into the rising inhumanity of the policemen and invited several noted IPS officers on the show to reveal some very shocking facts known only to the policemen and the politicians. A police station gets about 250 litres of diesel or petrol which lasts to a maximum of 15-20 days in a very peaceful area. 2. Even police stations are among the defaulters of electricity. They usually run short of money to pay the electricity bills. 3. There are usually no financial resources for contingency (emergency) in several states. 4. Sometimes the policemen do not even have money to take an accused to the court. They even ask the culprit to pay for their tickets. 5. If the police finds an unclaimed body in a lake, they have to first pay the fishermen to take out the body, pay the doctor to carry out the post-mortem and then pay for the last rites of the body. No funds are assigned for such purposes. 6. A police constable hardly becomes an Assistant Sub-Inspector in 40 years of his tenure. 7. Suicide cases are very high in the police. Several die of heart failures when they constantly suffer under less salaries, distance from families and poor working conditions. 8. There is even a budget for bribe collection. The money collected from the bribe has to be transferred to the higher officials as well as the politicians. 9. The police constables are even made to cook and clean in the houses of the higher officials. 10. There is interference of politicians in the transfers of the policemen which is the main reason behind the poor working culture of the police.
