Three Afghan nationals and 12 suspects arrested

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Wednesday arrested three Afghan nationals residing illegally here and two other outlaws besides recovering parts of stolen bike and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said. Following directions from high officials of Islamabad, police patrolling and security measures have been enhanced in the city. Patrolling team of Bhara Kahu police nabbed three Afghan nationals, identified as Ibrahim Aziz and Usman Khan who were residing in the country illegally. Aabpara police arrested Javed Masih and recovered parts of stolen bike from him while Industrial area police recovered 30 bore pistol from a dacoit Shahzeb. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. During general hold up in last 24 hours, Islamabad police impounded 54 bikes and nine vehicles being driven without authentic documents. Black papers were also removed seven vehicles and 12 suspects were also arrested during search operation in various areas of the city.
