New Delhi: On Wednesday, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh committed to his extra-marital relationship with TV anchor on Rajya Sabha TV Amrita Rai. After their video went viral on internet, the duo accepted their relationship on social networking website Twitter. Amrita Rai, meanwhile, also confirmed her separation from her husband. She added that she would later marry Digvijay Singh. Digvijay Singh's wife Asha Singh, 58, had passed away on February 27 at a hospital in New Delhi after battling cancer for several years.
When Digvijaya Singh's son Jaivardhan Singh was contacted for his reation on this revelation by his father, he said 'This is their personal matter.' He denied making any further comments on the incident. Jaivardhan Singh is the youngest child of Digvijaya who was born on July 9, 1986. He is the only son among 4 sisters. He is also known as 'Kunwar.'

Jaivardhan said that when his father became the state president for the first time, it was because of Rajiv Gandhi's blessings and whatever their family is today is only because of Nehru-Gandhi family. He said that his father never wanted him to enter politics but he had to bow down in front of his son and Jaivardhan joined the politics then.
