Major fire breaks out at 17-storey textile godown in Surat, no casualties reported

Surat: A major fire broke out at a textile godown in Surat’s Sahara Darwaja area on Thursday morning . Sources say a short-circuit may have triggered the massive inferno that engulfed the seventeen storied building that houses textile firm offices, including Vipul sarees. After the fire broke out 10-12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, no casualties have been reported so far.
