SHOCKING: Girl gets pregnant with boyfriend's child, fabricates intricate web of lies, sends cops on chase of 'rapists'

Bangalore: Fearing her parents' wrath, a 20-year-old management student, who got pregnant with her boyfriend's child, fabricated an intricate web of lies, even sending the cops on a chase of her alleged rapists, said a media report. According to Bangalore Mirror, the girl, who is the daughter of a Border Security Force official, filed a police complaint stating she had been 'sold' to several men by her aunt and uncle. She said the duo allegedly blackmailed her into having sex with strangers starting August 2013. The North East division police, who had registered a case of rape, were in for a shock when preliminary investigations revealed the girl had been lying all along and that it was actually her boyfriend (also the son of a BSF official) of three years who got her pregnant. The girl is a student of REVA Institute of Technology and Management in Yelahanka and a resident of the BSF Quarters in Kattigenahalli. The girl got pregnant around August last year. When her parents started questioning her about her rapidly bulging stomach, she fobbed them off saying she was suffering from gastroenteritis, the media report said. But things came to a head in the last week of April and her parents took her to see a doctor at Vani Vilas Hospital. They were stunned when the doctor gave them a certificate saying she was nine months pregnant. The girl reportedly claimed that she had been repeatedly raped by her uncle's friend and a few unknown men. According to the investigating officer, the woman told the police that one of her relatives - who is also a BSF official living in the same quarters - had taken a video of her having a shower and was threatening to make it public unless she complied with their wishes and had sex with strangers. She also claimed the woman and her husband would constantly threaten to kill her father, so she gave in to their demands. She alleged he was hand-in-glove with her relatives and the trio would 'kidnap' her and take her to different rooms where she used to be held hostage, drugged with an injection, and then made to have sex with strangers. However, a probe into her allegations established she had concocted the entire story. Considering her advanced stage of pregnancy, the police have taken a sympathetic view by not taking action against her for filing a false complaint.
