Suspected terrorists kill at least 10 people in two separate firing incidents in Assam

Guwahati: At least 10 people were killed in two separate incidents in Baksa and Kokrajhar districts of Assam on Thursday. In the Kokrajhar district, at least 7 people were gunned down by the suspected terrorists after they opened indiscriminate fire on the civilians. According to media reports, the police suspects them to be Bodo militants. In another incident in Baksa region, they killed 3 members of a family which included 2 women and an infant. They died on the spot. The severely injured infant was rushed to the nearby hospital as he suffered injuries from the bullet. According to sources, suspected militants fled the spot after killing nearly 10 people at different locations. A massive combing operation has been launched in the area by the Army and police to flush out the terrorists.
