You will not want to sleep during the afternoon after reading this!

Sleep is undoubtedly a very important part of our daily routine but too much of anything is harmful, be it sleep. There are certain rules related to sleep that must be adhered to as they have not only been mentioned in the Ayurveda but have scientific explanation too. Sleeping in the day is not advisable as it can trigger a number of diseases which is said in the Hindu ayurvedic scriptures Mostly housewives and people who work night shifts tend to sleep during the day. Sleeping in the day can give you a cold followed by intense coughing which can gradually take the form of a respiratory disease. Lungs start getting worse which may turn into a dangerous disease like tuberculosis. Sleeping at night is the best. The body gets complete calm at night and the body is flooded with energy and freshness. Sleeping during the day only makes you lethargic, so it is best to sleep at night.
