CJ takes notice of Karachi airport attack

KARACHI: Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has taken notice of the terrorist attack on Karachi airport, Express News reported. The chief justice has asked for reports regarding the incident from the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority and the defence ministry. The attack on the airport occurred on June 8, in which 37 people, including 10 terrorists, were killed in an all-night siege at the country’s largest and busiest airport. According to reports, 12 ASF personnel, one each of the police, Rangers and Shaheen Air International are among the deceased. The dead also include eight people who were trapped inside a private company’s cargo office and found dead 28 hours after rescue operations had started.
