Preity Zinta offers apology for refusing to talk to media, issues statement on Facebook

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who has accused her ex-boyfriend and industrialist Ness Wadia of abuse and molestation, offered apologies for refusing to speak to journalists who were waiting for her arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Sunday. Issuing a statement on her Facebook page, she said, "I would like to apologize to the media, but it will not be possible for me to make any comments or statements as investigation is still on." The 39-year-old outspoken actor, who went to the United States soon after filing an FIR against Wadia on June 12 and hasn’t given any interview since then, said she will comment on the case after the probe is over. The actress has even requested media persons not to call her staff or friends as they have requested me to make this appeal on their behalf.
After landing in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon, Preity dodged questions and went inside her car without talking to the media. The diva looked exhausted at the airport. The Mumbai Police would record her statement in connection with the case either on Monday or Tuesday. "Since she has arrived here, her statement would be recorded either tomorrow or day after," said an official privy to the investigation. Preity had filed a police complaint on the night of June 12 alleging she was molested by Wadia (44) at Wankhede stadium on May 30 when an IPL match was being played between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.
