Accused gets bail in beheading case

SIALKOT: An anti-terrorism court of Gujranwala on Monday granted interim bail before arrest to the father of the girl who was beheaded along with her husband for contracting love marriage. Dilshad, the main accused in the case, got bail before arrest until July 4. Muafia Bibi and her husband, Sajjad, were killed by seven members of her family, including her father and mother, on July 26 at village Satrah, Daska. The police said the other four arrested accused had disclosed that Dilshad, father of Muafia Bibi, was the mastermind of the case as he had made the plan of beheading the couple after abduction. The four arrested accused, Muafia’s grandfather Ghulam Rasul, her mother Bashiran Bibi and uncles Iqbal Hasan and Shamshad, have already confessed to committing the crime before police.
