KANPUR MURDER CASE: Jyoti's husband confesses involvement, Sources

Kanpur: In a new twist in Jyoti murder case, the police claims to have solved the case. According to sources, the police have revealed that husband of Jyoti, Piyush Shyam Dashani had an extra marital affair to which Jyoti had raised objections. The police say that Piyush who was detained from his residence on Tuesday for interrogation confessed that he conspired to kill his wife. Piyush also divulged that the motive behind the murder was his relationship with another woman; he took aid of her driver to abduct and murder Jyoti. Inconsistencies in Piyush`s statements, change of shirt caught on CCTV footage when dining with Jyoti and at the time of lodging a report with police, had made him a prime suspect in the case. He had allegedly called the cops an hour after the incident took place. According to Jyoti`s father, she often complaint about her husband’s behavior. Jyoti’s father had also demanded a CBI probe into the matter. The parents of Jyoti had revealed that her husband, Piyush Shyam Dashani had an extra marital with a woman. In her conversations with her parents Jyoti had informed them about the existence of a woman in Piyush’s life, she had also revealed that her husband locked himself in the room alone and spoke to her for hours. The police was also interrogating the woman to connect the dots. The police also divulged that Piyush had two mobile phones and both are in the custody of the police officials. Jyoti’s husband also sent 150 messages to the woman before the incident took place. The post mortem report of Jyoti had stated that there were half a dozen bruises on her body. Marks of stabbing her four times by a knife on the stomach, on the neck, the back of the head and two were found near the waist. The victim Jyoti was kidnapped by a biker gang on late Sunday night was found murdered inside the car. The police had recovered the body on Monday. The bikers had allegedly killed her but there were no signs of loot.
