Communal tension erupted in the area after objectionable Facebook posts from a fake profile surfaced on Wednesday. The posts were made from the fake account of BJP leader and Khandwa municipal chairman Amar Yadav's account. In the communal violence one person was killed and some people were injured. One policeman was also injured. According to reports, a case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons. BJP leader Amar Yadav denied his involvement in the incident. He claimed a fake profile was created on Facebook under his name. "That was not my Facebook profile. With an aim to disturb communal harmony, anti-social elements created the fake id," Yadav said. The police have arrested a man on charges of creating a fake account to disturb communal harmony. Investigators say this might be a handiwork of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
