Formation of Anti-Terrorism Force need of hour: Nawaz The News 14 Sept 2013

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called for early initiation of the process for the formation of Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF). Speaking during a briefing about the (ATF) here on Saturday, the prime minister said that the constitution of the force is a need of an hour. He directed the authorities concerned to keep him informed on daily basis about the progress over establishment of the force. Chief Secretary and Inspector General (IG) Police Punjab briefed the Prime Minister on the formation of ATF. IG Punjab also apprised the prime minister about the steps being taken following the minor girl rape incident. Later, another meeting was held to discuss condition of main roads in which Nawaz Sharif directed to improve roads of Lahore and to remove encroachments from the circular road. Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) officials also attended the meeting.
