Islamabad extortion case: 4 cops, 2 CDA staff sent on physical remand The News 14 Sept 2013

ISLAMABAD: Police on Saturday obtained physical remand of the three ASIs, one constable and two CDA employees accused in the Islamabad Sabzi Mandi extortion case from Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) here, Geo News reported. Islamabad High Court, on the complaint of rampant extortions in Sabzi Mandi located in the outskirt of the federal capital, had ordered the administration, police and CDA management to take action forthwith. Administration, police and CDA joint action in compliance of the Islamabad High Court order continuing in full swing, sources said. Police had presented seven accused in the ATC yesterday, while six more accused have been presented today. ATC Judge Atiqur Rahman granted physical remand of the six accused—ASIs Ishaque, Saeed and Azam, constable Agha Shah and two CDA employees Abdul Ghafoor and Saghir.
