Chaman blast kills seven near Pak-Afghan border

CHAMAN: Seven people were killed in a suicide blast near the Bab-e-Dosti (Friendship Gate) at the Pak-Afghan border on Wednesday. 15 others including 7 FC personnel were injured in the blast. According to security sources, the suicide attacker was trying to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan and detonated his explosive-laden vest when he was stopped at the border by FC personnel. Two Pakistanis were among the six people killed in the blast. Four of the seven FC personnel are said to be in critical condition and have been shifted to Quetta for treatment. Following the incident, flow of traffic across the border was suspended.
