Mamata betrayed me, it’s end of association with her, skipped rally due to sparse crowd: Anna Hazare

New Delhi: After two days of skipping a rally organized in New Delhi, where he was scheduled to address a crowd in unison with the Trinamool Congress head Mamata Banerjee, Anna Hazare has come up with a statement that clears his uncomfortable equations with the Bengal chief minister. The veteran social activist said on Friday that he doesn’t want to nurture any kind of relationship with West Bengali chief minister as she betrayed him. The differences between the two are now finally out in open. However, Mamata played down the entire issue and told news reporters that she will only comment after meeting the anti-corruption crusader. Anna also added that he didn’t ever supported Mamata or her party by any means, but only her thoughts. Not stopping at that Anna also took a swipe at Santosh Bharti, who is known to be his close aide. Bharti was also accused of treachery by him. Just a few days back, Anna had endorsed Mamata for the post of prime minister stating that only she replied to his letter on 17-point agenda for the nation. Reasons for skipping rally Anna said that due to sparse crowd present at the Ramlila Maidan during rally, he abstained from attending it. He also said that due to his illness, he couldn’t afford to go there. Adding more he said that at around 12 o’ clock in the afternoon, on the day when rally was organized, he was communicated on phone that only two-and-a-half thousand people had gathered at the venue. After considering the fast that a low turnout of people, in a place where thousands of people assembled during the time of Jan Lokpal Aandolan, can be due to some fishy reasons, he missed the rally.
