Police brutality: Baton-charged nurse succumbs to injuries

LAHORE: A nurse protesting in front of the Punjab Assembly on Friday succumbed to her injuries after she was baton-charged by the police, Express News reported. Rubina, along with several other nurses, was protesting against the Health Department for firing nurses who had been working on contract or on ad-hoc basis. In response of the protests, the Punjab Health Advisor had stated that nurses will only be hired if they pass the Public Service Commission exams.
