SHOCKING: Maoists sending SMS to voters to boycott upcoming LS Polls

Patna: Maoists in Bihar and Jharkhand have jumped to a new technique in appealing the boycott the Lok Sabha polls in the two states. The police said on Monday that the Communist Party of India, Maoist, is messaging people on phone to make an appeal of boycotting the national elections. A senior police official confirmed the news, according to a media report. He said that bulk-messages are being sent to the mobile-phone subscribers in which they are asked to not to be a part of elections. The SMSes have targeted all the people who are eligible to vote. The content of the message that is urging people not to vote has not been revealed by the police. The party workers have been asked to attack the security forces during the election in the messages. Maoists in the region always try to hinder the proceedings of the elections and threaten voters in several ways. While they have introduced a new medium of threatening voters, their traditional ways of using posters and other things are also being used.
