Anti-Modi resolution blocked in Pakistan Punjab Assembly; Hafiz Saeed spits venom against India again

New Delhi: As per the latest news coming out of Pakistan, an anti-Modi resolution has been blocked in the Assembly of Punjab province against the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his allegations of terrorism leveled against Pakistan. The 372-member assembly is ruled by the Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif led PML-N party. Reportedly, the motion was brought about by opposition parties such as Tehrik-e-Insaf, PPP, PML-Q and Jamaat-e-Islami but Speaker Rana Iqbal turned it down. Soon after the opposition members walked out of the house raising anti-India slogans and also held a demonstration outside Assembly premises. The opposition MLA’s claimed that Modi has wrongly accused Pakistan for carrying out terrorism related activities in India. They also accused Nawaz Sharif of holding pro-India agenda. On the other hand, prime accused in the Mumbai terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed has once again spitted venom against India. Addressing a rally on the eve of 16th anniversary of Pakistan’s nuclear testing, he said “time has finally arrived when we should initiate a jihad against India in order to release India-occupied- Kashmir from the hold of the former. All of you should be ready to help our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Will you help me in this mission?” Listening to such instigating speech, about 10,000 people in the rally responded in unison shouting “we are with you.” He also took Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif at task and said “by marking his presence in the Modi’s swearing-in ceremony Sharif has backstabbed the Kashmiri people. People of Kashmir will never forgive him for his deed.”
