CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Attempt to abduct student who reported cheating in AIPMT in Jind district

Rohtak: Students were caught cheating in All India pre medical test in Jind district in Haryana on Sunday. A student, Ravi Ranga caught another student copying from an answer guide, he reported the incident to the invigilator but the matter was curbed. After the examination ended an attempt was made to abduct Ravi, who had reported the incident. Ravi registered an FIR with the police and a video and photographic evidence of the incident is available with the media. The incident took place in Indus world school in Jind District. All India pre medical test began at 10 am. In room no 18 at 12.30 pm, Ravi Ranga noticed a student cheating from an answer booklet. Ravi walked up to him and pulled out a sheet of paper from underneath his seat, the sheet too had answers and answer codes written on it. Ravi reported the incident to the invigilator and in no time the entire school staff converged to the room. The teachers asked for the answer sheet that Ravi had secured from the student who was cheating. Ravi refused to do so and asked to register his formal complaint first. Ravi was then summoned to the principal’s office. The staff of the school threatened to lodge a complaint against him as the answer sheet was now in Ravi’s possession. A petrified Ravi handed over the answer sheet to the superintendent . The superintendent then walked up to the student who was cheating and slapped him and subsequent to which he returned him the answer sheet that Ravi had confiscated. Police officials were present at the spot when the incident happened. After the examination ended Ravi made his way to the bus stand and took an auto, as soon as he sat in the auto, the student who Ravi caught cheating came there along with his two friends and tried to abduct Ravi. The three of them thrashed Ravi and said that they had invested Rs. 40 lakh to get away without being caught. When media reached the spot and took pictures to document the event the three men hurriedly left in their car.
