SHOCKING: Shoe hurled at Narendra Modi; security officials fail to identify the culprit

Lucknow/Allahabad: BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi faced a huge embarrassment on Monday when an unidentified man, sitting in the group next to security barriers, hurled a shoe at him and raised slogan "Na, Na, Modi." The incident happened when Modi came to the dais to address a gathering at Parade ground here. The man threw his shoe towards the dais. However, the shoe landed at a distance from the stage but the incident led to chaos on the ground. The security officials crossed the barriers and tried to identify the person responsible for the act but to no avail. Modi's supporters went angry over the incident. While, the security personnel calmed them down. Modi addressed back to back rallies in Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar and Allahabad. Earlier in the day, in Faizabad, Modi's stage also had a huge poster of Lord Rama behind the stage. The events are significant as Faizabad is just five kilometres away from Ayodhya, which is the birthplace of the Hindu diety.
