Lalu turns red after Rabri Devi frisked; alleges it as plot to assassinate his wife

Patna: Reacting to a frisking episode where state police team stopped car of the former Chief Minister of Bihar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s wife Rabri Devi for a search operation, the party head said that it was a plot to assassinate her wife. Reportedly, on Saturday night, police offciers from Sonpur police station of Chapra district launched a frisking operation on Rabri Devi. Thereafter, Rabri alleged that during the time of incident a black colored Scorpio car was constantly chasing her car and trying to overtake them. She also accused that during the time of search there wasn’t even a single female constable present on the stop, as per requirement of existing laws. Furthermore, no video recording was also performed, while the search was on. After getting tip-off about the incident, a visibly agitated Lalu also reached the site and vented his ire on the police officers. Notably, a black colored Scorpio car has been found parked on the site, where police frisked Rabri. Suspiciously, the number plate of the car was also found inside it rathe than its usual place. Rabri is contesting Lok Sabha polls from the Saran constituency. Responding to the allegations, police officers present on the site said that only after the Election Commission ordered them, a search operation was planned. The SDM of the area has accused the supporters of Lalu of physically assaulting them.
