SHOCKING: Four men THRASH & MOLEST couple in Delhi's posh Chanakyapuri area as bystanders turn mute spectators

The places in posh areas of the national capital have also become as unsafe as the streets of some local markets. A recent incident has once again shamed Delhi and raised several questions regarding the safety of women. Four drunk men made vulgar comments and gestured inappropriately towards at a woman inside the Pepper Kebab, Grill & Lounge in Chanakyapuri area on Saturday, which resulted in a serious assault. The woman’s fiancée protested the men for their unacceptable behaviour and got assaulted along with his partner. He was beaten and the assaulters went up to the level of breaking a bottle on his head. Even though the security in the lounge must have been of fine level, three of the attackers successfully fled from the scene as the bouncers made no efforts in nabbing them. One attacker, who was caught by woman’s fiancé, has been arrested by police and they are searching the other three. “So far, no other arrest has been made apart from the accused handed over by the victim,” said police. As the assault continued for more than 15 minutes, no one apart from a cashier dared to come to the rescue of the victims or report the case to the police. The brutal attack and the mute spectators have once again revealed the reality of the city that is always ready to light candles instead of fighting back at the right time. Human ignorance to the things that are going wrong makes things worse and also the confidence of attackers shoots up this way. The made victim said that the couple ignored the obscene comments but had to react on their vulgar gestures. “They were already in the lounge. Initially, one of the accused passed a comment which we ignored. Around 12:30 am on Saturday, he made an objectionable gesture to which I objected. While we were having a heated argument, another attacker came and struck a liquor bottle on my head," he said adding that his fiancé has also suffered injuries as she was thrashed for shielding him. The case highlights many loopholes in the system. It is always the duty of the staff to look for the security of visitors specially women. What were the bouncers doing when the couple was being viciously assaulted? Isn’t it their duty to settle down brawls and maintain peace at the place?
