Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi summoned in National Herald land grab case

New Delhi: In a new blow to the Congress party, Chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi have been summoned by the Delhi court years after Subramanian Swamy went public with his allegations of impropriety in the National Herald case. They have been asked to appear in courth on 7 August. The other people summoned include Sam Pitroda, Suman Dubey, Oscar Fernandez. He had directly accused Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in 2012, of running a fraud company and misusing government facilities. Swamy accused the Gandhis of running a fraud company, and hence converting a public firm into a private firm. Swamy went ahead and said that this enabled the mother-son duo to grab properties worth Rs. 1,600 crore illegally.
