US top official headed to India to build bridges with Modi

New Delhi: Reflecting the keen desire of President Obama’s White House to defreeze India-US relations post- Modi victory, the Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal will make a three-day visit to meet the new Indian government officials. Nisha Desai Biswal, its point person for South Asia, to build bridges with the new Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom it had shunned for over a decade.
